About Me
Hey, I'm Sam.
I started Sam's Fitness because I believe everyone deserves access to expert coaching in an environment where they actually feel welcome.
After years of working at big-box gyms, I saw the same pattern over and over: people would sign up full of motivation, get overwhelmed by the intimidating atmosphere, and quietly disappear within a few months. They weren't failing—the system was failing them.
So I opened my garage doors and created something different. A place where classes are small enough that I can actually coach you. Where members become friends. Where showing up is the only thing that matters—not what you lift or how you look.
My Journey to Coaching
I didn't grow up athletic. In fact, I avoided gyms for most of my twenties because I felt like I didn't belong there. The machines were confusing, the regulars seemed to speak a different language, and nobody bothered to help.
Everything changed when I found a small training community that actually took the time to teach me. They didn't judge my starting point—they met me where I was and helped me build from there. For the first time, working out felt like something I could actually stick with.
That experience changed my life, and it's exactly what I've built here at Sam's Fitness. I got certified, studied everything I could about movement and nutrition, and committed to creating the gym I wish I'd found years earlier.
Eight years and over 100 members later, I still get excited every time someone walks through my garage door for the first time. Because I remember what that feels like—and I know what's possible when you find the right fit.

My Philosophy
What I Believe In
Community First
Fitness is better together. I create a space where everyone supports each other and celebrates wins—big and small.
Form Over Ego
Moving well matters more than moving heavy. I teach you to train smart so you can train for life.
Personal Attention
Small classes mean I actually know your name, your goals, and your story. You're never just a number here.
The Space
A Gym That Feels Like Home
Yes, it's literally a garage gym. And that's the whole point. No mirrors covering every wall. No judgment. No waiting for equipment. Just a well-equipped space designed for real training with real people.
- Squat racks, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells
- Rowers, bikes, and conditioning equipment
- Climate controlled (yes, even in Florida summers)
- Max 8 people per class for personal attention
